Psychology Experts was established in 2000 by Dr Andrew Derry to provide an independent expert assessment and support service to the Family Courts.

We are a multidisciplinary team of practising Chartered Clinical Psychologists who aim to provide the Courts with an understanding of the adversity faced by parents and families, to recommend strategies for managing risk faced by children and to help identify and deliver interventions and rehabilitation programmes to support families within family court proceedings.

All Psychology Experts Associates are registered with the Health Professions Council and The British Psychological Society.

We offer multiple levels of assessment including :

• Complex multidisciplinary family assessments
• Parental risk assessment
• Assessment of parental functioning and the parent-child interaction
• Assessment of children
• Cognitive assessment of learning disability or mental capacity

We are regularly commissioned by Local Authorities, solicitors and barristers. To maintain our independence we do not accept instructions from private individuals.

We also bring together therapists experienced in working with parents and families, aiming to develop intervention programmes to support families within the Sussex Area.  Enquiries for therapy can be accepted from both parents and legal representatives.
