Dr Mari Aldridge CV 

Dr Mari Aldridge has been providing independent psychological assessments for the family courts since 2007.  She is a Chartered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council and she has over 12 years experience working as a Psychologist, initially with H.M. Prison Service undertaking research within the area of domestic violence, developing offender rehabilitation programmes and undertaking risk assessments.  She has since worked for the NHS within the Community Mental Health Team specialising in the assessment and treatment of adults presenting a range of mental health difficulties, including severe mental health and personality disorders.

Since 2007, she worked as the Clinical and Forensic Psychologist within a residential family assessment centre where she undertook parenting assessments in accordance with the DoH (2000) Framework for the Assessment for Children in Need and their Families whilst also undertaking psychological assessments, risk assessments and assessments of attachment.

Dr Aldridge currently works as an Independent Expert to the Family Courts and H.M. Prison Service for the purpose of Parole Hearings.  She undertakes parenting assessments, psychological assessments, cognitive assessments and risk assessments.  She is experienced in assessing individuals and families presenting with a range of difficulties including domestic violence, child neglect and abuse, alcohol and drug misuse, chronic mental health difficulties and parents with learning disabilities.

She runs a private psychological therapy clinic on a part time basis as an Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist whilst also utilising Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Based in South West of England, Dr Aldridge works across the West and South of England and will also travel nationally.
