Dr Victoria Thornton is a Child and Family Clinical Psychologist who has been providing independent expert assessments for the courts since 2009. She has undertaken specialist training and has experience of the family court system.
Registered with the Health Professionals Council and Chartered with the British Psychological Society and the Division of Clinical Psychology, Dr Thornton has over 6 years post-qualification experience in CAMHS and child protection services. She has worked as Principal Clinical Psychologist for CAMHS in Sussex. Her expertise includes therapeutic work with individuals, families and groups, consultation to professionals and supervision of colleagues.

Psychological Interventions
Dr Thornton undertakes individual work with children and young people using an integrative approach in response to the specific needs of the case. She uses CBT, psychotherapy and attachment-based therapies. She also works with families using systemic approaches including solution-focused therapy.
