Dr Rashi Negi

Dr Negi is an old age psychiatrist currently working as substantive consultant at Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust since March 2014. She regularly performs risk assessments and management, writes Court reports, attends mental health tribunals and acts as an investigator for the SUI and complaints. She has a keen interest in the management and service delivery and has worked as clinical director in older adults for south Staffordshire and Dementia lead Jan 2016-Jan 2019. She successfully led and managed the setting up of memory assessment services successfully.

Dr Negi has a sub-speciality interest in liaison psychiatry and dementia care for older adults. During her higher training years, she has pursued this interest by working and leading some of the liaison teams and by completing placements with Parkinson’s and Stroke specialists learning advanced management of these conditions. As a trainee she had the exposure to a range of sub-specialities like General and Old age psychiatry, M & B, LD. Rehabilitation and Forensic Psychiatry, hence she acquired a variety of clinical skills and competencies that she further refined and consolidated during her specialist training.

Dr Negi is also section 12 approved, has an AC status and speaks other languages that include Hindi, Punjabi and Russian.
