Dr Vicky Wheeler

Dr Wheeler is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist providing expert witness evidence to the Courts in criminal, civil and family cases since 2011. Dr Wheeler specialises in working with families, parents and children at risk of harm, with a profound understanding of the contribution of parental risk including mental health and personality problems, substance misuse and forensic risk.  She has a special interest in paediatric psychology, understanding the contribution of parent-child attachment and the impact of developmental trauma.   She also has worked internationally and has a clear knowledge of the psychological impact of immigration and social integration difficulties.

Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Wheeler was a Probation Officer and has maintained her interest in working with offenders, now providing psychological risk assessments for violence, sexual offending, domestic abuse, trauma, personality disorder, psychopathy, mental health difficulties and substance misuse. Dr Wheeler has worked extensively within the Court system, providing written and verbal reports and participated regularly in multi-agency public protection arrangement panels.
