Mina Arvanitopoulou

Mina is a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist with more than 13 years’ experience working in the NHS and privately. She graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from University of Athens, Greece in 2004 and she is registered with the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and the Health and Care Professions Council. In her NHS role, she is part of the Clinical Health Psychology Service of the North East London Foundation Trust and she runs the Psychology Service within a Cardiac Rehabilitation Team at Queens Hospital. She has significant experience in leading psychology services and providing psychological assessments and interventions to adults suffering from a wide variety of psychological difficulties such as anxiety, depression, physical health conditions, work related stress, anger, self-esteem issues, trauma/PTSD and relationship difficulties, among other issues.

Mina is also a registered Expert Witness for personal injury claims and has more than 7 years of experience in delivering psychological assessments for people who have suffered psychological injuries following road traffic accidents or other traumatic events. Within her private practice, Mina offers 1:1 therapy sessions on a short term or longer-term basis according to the client’s needs and wishes, using an integrative approach applying a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic therapy and Compassion Based Interventions.

Mina’s style is direct, warm and empathetic and she believes in establishing a trusting relationship with her clients, offering a comfortable and safe space to explore difficult feelings, increase insight and work together with clients towards leading a happier and healthier life.
