Dr Chloe Ward

Dr Chloe Ward is an experienced HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with nearly 8 years’ experience of working in the NHS in a number of clinical settings, including secure hospital settings and crisis teams. Since 2022, Dr Ward has worked as the neurodiversity lead within her clinical team and division, working to reduce restrictive practice across the trust. Dr Ward has extensive experience in working with individuals with personality disorders, psychosis and thought disorders. Dr Ward has experience of delivering individual tailored care plans alongside group interventions.
Within this role, Dr Ward manages and supervised a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) of multiple staff including trainee and assistant psychologists.

Dr Ward currently offers individual and group therapy using a range of evidence based psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) for adults who are experiencing psychological difficulties, such as complex trauma, anger, self-harm, suicidality, attachment difficulties, relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety.

Dr Ward is able to complete highly specialist psychological assessments and has completed expert witness reports for the criminal and family courts. Dr Ward is able to complete risk assessments of violence (HCR-20 v3) to indicate level of risk and need for therapeutic intervention. She has specific expertise in personality disorder and psychopathy. Dr Ward also has extensive experience in designing and delivering training packages to a range of professionals, including topics such as mindfulness, personality disorder, emotional wellbeing, risk assessment, and trauma informed care.
