Dr Larissa Johnson

Dr. Larissa Johnson is a Forensic Psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field. She specialises in forensic psychological assessment for parole hearings and the Courts and in the treatment of individuals with personality difficulties, PTSD, and complex trauma.

She has worked in various settings, including medium secure hospitals, prisons, and outpatient services, providing psychological assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention for individuals with challenging behaviours, severe and enduring mental illnesses, and individuals diagnosed with personality disorders.

Dr. Johnson is also a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional, EMDR Therapist, and Level 1 Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher. Her current passions lie in trauma therapy, educating businesses to become trauma-informed, coaching professional women of colour to combat imposter syndrome, and offering opportunities to shift an individual’s relationships with stress through MBSR.

Dr. Johnson obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Toronto, followed by a first-class honours Master of Science Degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent, and a Practice Doctorate in Forensic Psychology from the University of Birmingham. She also received a MSc with distinction in Business and Organizational Psychology from Coventry University.
