Dr Sharon Kalsy

Dr Sharon Kalsy is a clinical psychologist with 20 years’ experience of working with adults with complex mental health, clinical health, forensic and cognitive difficulties.  She has worked in the NHS, prison services and forensic mental health setting.   She specialises in the assessment of complex mental health problems, forensic risk assessments of sex offenders and has worked with adults with brain injuries.

Dr Kalsey embarked on her career in the NHS, working with adults and adolescent sexual behaviour as well as child victims of sexual abuse.  She has an acute sensitivity to cultural diversity having developing HIV+ services for immigrants and asylum seekers.  She went on to work in prison and forensic services honing her skills in the assessment and treatment of sexual offenders.

Dr Kalsy has a broad range of specialist training in different therapeutic models including family therapy, CBT Neuro-Linguistic Programming and motivational interviewing.  She maintains a busy private practice offering individual, group and family therapies in London.

She has applied her in-depth knowledge of families, forensic risk and neuropsychology to assessments for the family and criminal courts.  She has also specialised in assessments of mental capacity for the courts and fitness to work for occupational reports.
