Pr Ann Mortimer

Pr Mortimer is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and was a senior member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Examinations Committee.  She has held consultant clinical roles in acute mental health services, drug and alcohol services, ‘mother and baby’ inpatient unit and rehabilitation units.

She has published extensively on the subject of Schizophrenia and won a Medipex NHS innovation prize in mental health in 2017 for her work in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) based on quantitative electroencephalographic analysis (qEEG).

She has provided evidence to the Family, Criminal and Civil Courts as an expert witness since 1997.  Over the last twenty years I have taken instructions in civil law cases, primarily concerning the psychiatric sequelae of personal injury and medical negligence, such as post traumatic stress and adjustment disorders. She currently specialises in personal injury as well as medical negligence cases involving mental health care.
