Professor Ingram Wright

Pr. Wright is a Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist and Head of Neuropsychology at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust. He has been employed within Neurosciences in Bristol since 2005 and was appointed as Head of Department in 2006. Prior to his current appointment he worked as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at several tertiary neuroscience centres in the UK. His current clinical role involves the assessment and management of children with neurological disorders, including children who have suffered an acquired insult such as a traumatic brain injury.

As a Clinical Lecturer, Pr. Wright has been actively engaged in research, clinical practice and supervision in the area of paediatric neuropsychology. He has numerous published papers, has secured a number of grants and currently offers specialist supervision and training to doctoral students, research assistants, clinical trainees and qualified clinical psychologists. He frequently accepts instructions for medico legal work on both clinical negligence and personal injury claims. He accepts 30 new instructions per year with 80% being from claimant’s solicitors. He has undertaken recent training organized by Bond Solon/AChiPP in medico-legal practice, court skills and reporting.
