Gemma Pearson is a Chartered Forensic Psychologist with other fifteen years’ experience of working with individuals in applied settings. In her career to date, she has worked with male and female clients, people with intellectual difficulties and autism, young offenders, male life sentenced prisoners and adolescents. She has worked in settings including prisons, inpatient mental health units, secure children homes and in the community. She has specialist interest in working with individuals who have complex needs, including Personality Disorder and trauma. Gemma is an experienced therapist with specialism in DBT, Schema Therapy and EMDR. She has completed therapy to individuals with a range of presenting issues including autism, Personality Disorder, anxiety, depression and anger management issues.

She has experience of writing high quality reports in a number of settings. She has experience completing psychological and cognitive assessments of parents for the Family Courts. Previously, she has written Parole reports and attended boards within a Prison setting using structured tools for violence, sexual offending and fire setting. In the last eight years she has regularly completed reports assessing mental health, cognitive need and forensic risk of adults and adolescents within mental health settings. She is trained in the assessment of Personality Disorder and Psychopathy using validated tools including the IPDE and PCL-R. She can assess mental health issues using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM V Disorders – Clinical Version (SCID-CV).
