Dr Chloe Davies

Dr Chloe Davies is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with experience of working within both the NHS and Local Authority settings. She has experience of working with individuals across the lifespan but particularly with working age adults presenting with a range of difficulties. Post-qualification, Dr Davies has worked primarily in children’s protection services, assessing, formulating and offering intervention to families. This includes those who are within family court proceedings and as a result, she has experience in providing psychological assessments (including cognitive and capacity assessments) of parents to the family courts.
Dr Davies is also experienced in delivering training, supporting multi-disciplinary teams, offering supervision and reflective spaces to other psychologists and health professionals. She also delivers teaching to doctoral and masters students and is involved in the supervision of research projects.
Dr Davies’ experience includes, but is not limited to, working with individuals who present with: complex trauma, PTSD, attachment difficulties, addiction, learning disabilities / needs, and people who attract personality disorder diagnoses. As a result, she is very competent in formulating and considering complex psychological and social presentations, as well as assessing risk.
Dr Davies offers a compassionate and non-judgemental approach to direct and indirect clinical work. She is ethically driven and thorough. Her approaches are informed by attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. Dr Davies practices therapeutically with Compassion Focussed Therapy, EMDR and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy however, she has experience of operating within services and alongside colleagues that use a wide range of therapeutic approaches, meaning she is able to reflect and consider multiple models and theories in her work.
