Dr Ishaan Gosai

Dr Ishaan Gosai (MBBCh, MRCPsych, BSc(HONS) Addictions) qualified as a doctor in 1997, and has worked as a psychiatrist since 2000. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Addictions from Leeds University in 2011, as an area of special interest.

He has worked internationally, and in the UK, as a Consultant psychiatrist from 2009 onwards. His special interests span ADHD, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Addictions, Occupational Health Psychiatry, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Personality Disorders.

A keen advocate of mental health, he has worked with the BBC on a radio program promoting mental health education on common conditions such as Anxiety Disorders, Addictions and Perinatal Mental Health, with the aim of destigmatising mental illness and promoting emotional resilience.

As part of his goal to make psychiatry understandable and accessible, he headed the publication of ‘The Practical Handbook of Psychiatry – by Psychiatrists for Non-Psychiatrists’, designed to take the fear and complexity out of mental illness.

He is an experienced provider of tele-psychiatry. His patients consistently provide positive feedback on his knowledge, approachability, clarity and commitment to their wellness.
